Please join the Carolinas Chapter GAPNA for our "Sweet 16" Annual Conference! We are pleased to announce Senator Gale Adcock as our esteemed keynote speaker. This year's timely topics include pharmacogenetics, cannabis use in older adults, pharmacology updates in diabetes care, poster presentations, and navigating stress in the workplace. 

Registration will start at 7am and conclude at 7:45am.

Welcome and Introductions promptly at 7:45am.

Keynote Speaker at 8:00am. 

Conclusion and Evaluations 4:00-4:30pm

Coffee and tea throughout the day, light breakfast items, full lunch, and afternoon snacks included with registration.

Speakers

Senator Gale Adcock MSN, FNP, FAANP, FAAN

Gale Adcock is a family nurse practitioner of 37 years, and the first nurse elected to the NC Senate. 2025 marks her 18th year in elected office, having previously served 8 years in the NC House and 7 years on the Cary Town Council. She is the former chief health officer for software company SAS and past president of the NC Nurses Association, former chair of the NC Center for Nursing, and former member of the NC Board of Nursing. Gale is adjunct faculty at ECU, UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, and Case Western Reserve. Advocacy is her jam.
