Job Details – Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

• Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel contract)
• Specialty: Certified Nurse Midwife (Mother/Baby), Nurse Practitioner
• Location: Johnstown, PA 15905 (Western Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Setting: In-hospital, Mother/Baby unit
• Shifts: 24-hour in-person shifts (8a-8a), no call coverage required
• Dates Needed: March 12, 13, 17, 22, 23; April 10, 21, 27; May 8, 24, 26; June 5
• Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,380 - $4,000
• Orientation: Provided the day prior to first shift
• Lodging: Hospital accommodations provided

Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner & Certified Nurse Midwife Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife in a Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery, or related clinical setting
• Board Certification or Board Eligible as a Certified Nurse Midwife
• Advanced Practice certification (NP or CNM)
• Ability to admit patients under MD consult and provide care in intensive care settings per unit policy
• Skilled in assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients with emergent conditions
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 14 days

Key Responsibilities – Maternal & Newborn Care

• Deliver comprehensive care to adolescent and adult females during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and for gynecological needs
• Provide newborn care for infants in the first 28 days of life
• Assess, diagnose, monitor, and promote patient health and disease prevention
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to manage patient care
• Admit patients and provide care in intensive care settings as needed
• Stabilize and manage emergent conditions in accordance with medical staff policy
• Participate in in-house call coverage (full shift in-house, no additional call)
